Consul

Terms of service

Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms govern your use of Consul and ConsulR (together, “Consul”), provided by Daertho Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Consul you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the firm you sign up for.

1. The service

Consul is a workspace for compliance professionals: engagement management, sanctions, PEP and watchlist screening, adverse-media searches, identity verification, AI agents and related tools. ConsulR offers recruitment tools on the same platform. Features may change as we improve them.

2. Accounts

Consul is for professional use. You must give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure and are responsible for what happens under your account and the accounts you add for your team. Tell us at once at [email protected] if you suspect misuse.

3. Trials, allowances and fees

New accounts start with a free 30-day trial with a usage allowance. Screens, face checks, media searches and contact credits are counted against your allowance; paid plans and top-ups are charged as agreed with you in writing or on your invoice.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to what you put into Consul. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you. You confirm you have the right to upload it and a lawful basis to process any personal data in it, including the consent needed for identity checks. We act as your processor for that personal data, as set out in our privacy policy.

5. Acceptable use

Use Consul only for lawful purposes. Do not screen or check people without a legitimate reason, run identity checks without the person’s consent, attempt to access other firms’ data, overload or probe the service, or resell it without our agreement.

6. Screening and AI outputs

Screening, adverse-media and identity results, and anything an AI agent drafts, are decision support. They depend on public and third-party sources that may be incomplete or out of date. You remain responsible for your compliance decisions and for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

7. Records

Checks are kept as AML records for 5 years from the later of the check and the end of its engagement, and can be downloaded at any time. If you close your account, records that must be kept are locked and kept for that period, then deleted.

8. Our property

Consul’s software, design and our own data sources remain ours. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Consul while your account is open.

9. Availability, suspension and ending

We aim to keep Consul available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms or put the service or other users at risk. You may close your account at any time; we may end the service with reasonable notice.

10. Liability

Consul is provided “as is” to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell account holders about material changes in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction.
